VICTORY: M12 MOSCOW – KAZAN

VICTORY: M12 MOSCOW – KAZAN

We are indescribably pleased to announce a new major project of Gorka LLCin cooperation with Stroytransgaz – the first section of the M12 motorway “Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan High Speed Motorway under construction”.

Work on this motorway is the most ambitious task for our company. The section will be 80 km long, and will consist of 4 lanes of traffic and 26 artificial structures along the route. It will cross the Moscow and Vladimir regions.

As of now, the planning and area demarcation planning stages have been completed, and Stroytransgaz has won a tender for construction. Further, the site for the first phase will start at the junction with the federal motorway A-108 Moscow Great Ring (MBK) (Orekhovo-Zuyevo Western Bypass) at PK0+00,00 and end closer to the 2nd phase at PK800+00,00. The project group took into account strategic programmes for the development of the territory of the Russian Federation, Moscow Oblast, Vladimir Oblast, Orekhovo-Zuevo Urban District, Petushinsky District, Sobinsky District and rural settlements within them.

The owner of the project is the state-owned company Avtodor. Deadline for project delivery: June 2024.

The Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod-Kazan freeway, a projected motorway between Moscow and Kazan, is part of the international transport route “Europe-Western China”. The length of the section will be about 729 km, the route will run from Moscow through Vladimir, Murom, Arzamas, Sergach (a city in the Nizhny Novgorod Region), Kanash (in the Chuvash Republic) and Shali (in Tatarstan). The motorway will serve as an alternative to the M-7 “Volga” motorway. Speed, technical characteristics and capacity of the highway will significantly reduce travel time between Moscow and Kazan and increase traffic flow, while relieving the load on the M-7 “Volga” highway.
