]]>For more than a year now, GORKA Group has had a special department for creation and development of a production system. Its tasks include a wide range of issues, the main objective of which is to optimize work processes.
Of what has already been implemented, it is worth elaborating on several topics.
The first: an analysis has been performed of the factors and events that may have a negative impact on the implementation of projects and lead to a decrease in value of the activities being performed. The most well-known and typical types of losses were taken as the basis, using an industry interpretation.
The second: we have implemented the project management tool “Obeya” and are successfully using it at several key facilities. In Japanese it means “military headquarters” or “war room”. Thus, we get interaction in a single space, where a special role is given to the principles and methods of visual management. This approach increases the performance efficiency of a cross-functional project team working on the development or improvement of a product/process.
The third: we have held two business games and planned a whole series of sessions. The team-building event “Process Factory” is aimed at practical application of planning methods, identification of losses in processes and development of professional competencies of employees. The training is designed on the basis of solving typical problems, when all tasks are considered within the framework of uninterrupted construction of a facility, and the interactive format helps to improve the quality of communication between the participants.

]]>SKA Arena is welcoming its first winter in active construction phase. And the last one, because the stadium will be commissioned in autumn 2022.
To keep our workers warm and to prevent materials being exposed to sub-zero temperature in the construction process, a heating main was connected to the facility for temporary heating.
Monolithic works are proceeding to completion in all 14 sectors! The lower floors are already being finished. The next step is the construction of the roof and the facade glazing. In December our construction team will be even larger – the number of employees will increase up to 3300.

]]>The beginning of October was marked by the events under two of our key facilities simultaneously: the concept of the Museum, Theatre And Educational Complex by Snohetta was presented in Vladivostok (defence at the town planning council was successful), and Coophimmelblau visited Sevastopol (also visited the town planning council + the Founder and Design Director of the bureau gave a lecture to the students of Sevastopol state University – since Mr. Wolf D. Prix has been a head of the Institute of Architecture in Vienna for almost 10 years, setting the international standards in this field of education) and in St. Petersburg at the construction site of the grandiose SKA Arena.
Coophimmelblau portfolio includes such iconic projects as the Confluences Museum in Lyon (France), the European Central Bank in Frankfurt on the Main (Germany), and the Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning Exhibition in Shenzhen (China), but, as acknowledged by the author of the concept himself, this is the first time they have undertaken implementation of a sports facility on such a large scale and, notably, the image of the facility was inspired by the tower of the Soviet designer and painter, Vladimir Tatlin.

One of the key topics discussed was the opportunities arising from the implementation of the M12 road “Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan” project with extension to Yekaterinburg. – The design of the M12 road “Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan high-speed highway under construction” is carried out by GORKA Group.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Marat Khusnullin, emphasizing the exceptional significance of this high-speed highway, in his speech at the forum said that 4 thousand vehicles and 10 thousand people are already involved in the work on the facility, despite the obvious lack of personnel in the industry.
The Forum was held with the participation of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, the Federal Road Agency, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
